GTiR Bottom End

Hi,

I have a Turbo converted Almera GTi.

I have had piston problems as the previous owner seemed to have knackered the block.

Does anyone know whether a GTiR bottom end would fit the SR20DE form an almera or primera or similer with no problems.?

i was going to fit the gti-r head on the DE block, so should work the other way round.

the only problem is the lower compression on the GTI-r block (8.5:1 gti-r compared to 10:1 DE)

Believe using the pulsar pistons (which fit) equals the compression (as the block dimensions are essentially the same), either that or there is a 2mm head gasket that can be ordered from america that will lower the compression further still. As far as i can remember it is HKS who distribute the Head gasket.

Can calculate ratio gains but i'm not that technical.
