So why you complaining? iirc anything before 2001 is on a cheaper tax band as that when vechicals tax band are based on emissions (sp).

The wife's Golf GTTDi is a 1.9 and she only pays £110

I had mine tested for emissions by a friend out of interest - not good. :roll:

So be thankful were not on the emissions scheme or we might be paying double :?

iirc i'm sure it went up by £5 last time the Budget was done. So next time you renew your car tax you may by upto £180. Mine is end of March so we will see what it is.

Only applies on cars registered after 2001.

Here, the first registration tax on any car between 1800cc and 2000cc is approx £7,500 minimum and then pay £120 road tax every year . Just to give you an idea on a 3+Ltr engine is minimum £20,000 and £240 road tax yearly.

What a $hit hole country I live in.
