Can someone please tell me wat the emanage does, sorry if i sound stupid:doh: but is it a ecu?

at the moment i thinking about a remap, but would the emanage be all right or would the standard ecu be all right to get remapped:der:

i'm currently running 1bar of boost but i would like to get about 320bhp out of my R

basically a ecu that piggy backs off the stock ecu

ok so wat do i need as ecu's are some thing i dont understand and don't know what piggy back means either?

theres 2 ways round it,

no1. you ditch your ecu and go for something like apexi power fc, motec etc etc

no2. you go for a piggy back- emanage, the benefit is its much cheaper, and you retian stock features from the original ecu.

it depends what your after mate. if your planning mega power in the future then get your hand in ya pocket and go for a motec or suchlike

i'm not planning for any more power, but how do u plug the e manage in, do you remove the old ecu and just slot it in or do you plug it in else also does the e manage need mappin or is it a plug in and play item? thank you for your help

its sits on top of the ecu, hence the name piggy back.
and yeah, it will need mapping
