Bought a solid state HDD netbook in Sainsburys of all places the other day hoping that I could use it in the car to data log and map E-manage Ultimate EMU.

It's running windows 5.0 CE and I can't get it to run the EMU software.
Anybody know if there's a way to get the windows based EMU software running on windows CE?

No, you wont get it to run on CE....you'll need Win XP really but the solid state HDD is only 2 gig on that thing, so you wont get XP on it. Your only option would be, if you can find a copy of XP on CD, a USB external DVD drive and the specs to that lappy says it can take an 8 gig SD card. You might be able to get XP to install on the SD card, then you might have the option to get it to boot from the SD card. Once you get that far you should be able to install and run the E-manage software via the SD card.

WinXp can be installed taking just 1.5Gb of space. But that leaves you with just 500Mb (or less) for swap file, drivers and emanage. So as Steve said, your best option is to upgrade your disk to an 8Gb.

Saying that, always if the device does support WinXp in the first place.
