had a bit of a go with one last night,feck me it was quick!reckon it prob has cams etc.dont think its a turbo as i have seen it about.he was in front of me to begin with and i was catching all the time but not in a hurry and im running about the 300 bhp mark.i never got past untill the top end of 4th and into 5th.it would have killed a standard r.:oops:

Ahhhhhh a Nova Valver.......2.0 16V (2.0XE). Mine was out of a Astra GTE and had a few things doen to the engine. Had it dyno'd at 173bhp and featured in a mag (can't remember which one :oops:).

Very quick in a starigh line as the Nova weighs sod all but going into a corner was a different matter. Too much weight over the front wheels and not enough grip/weigh on the rear made for some interesting moments.

I use to race/beat WRX & UK Scoobies, RS turbo's, Cossie's :thumbsup: (only in a strigh line).

My old one was dyno'd at nobles at 171bhp at the wheels!!!

Like andy said the list of more expensive "faster" cars you can have is funny8)

Glad ive got 4wd now though,used to have a lot of fun with massive torque steer and loss of traction8)
But now i get to go fast in a straight line and the twisty's!

There is a local guy here with one of those and a few times I have had a play with him in the March ST. I dont believe his is that modded, but it certaintly was not slow, not quite as quick as the March though ;)

i've had a nova valver and a let nova and let me ell you they are animals!!! however torque steer aint the word and despite what many people claim they do NOT handle for crap. The weight of the engine throws the balnce of the car completely out. However for the money ...BRILLIANT FUN

That will be a Courteny Turbo conversion :thumbsup: They are the Hi Teq of Nova turbo conversions 8)

still got my gold nova 16v, cant part with it.
did have 2 but i sold 1 to buy the pulsar
the 1 i sold just had 2seats, speedo,full roll cage inside
didnt do much to the engine except powercap & bits
lowered 60 on the front & 100 on the back with a full polly kit & shock kit & it still wouldnt help handling in the wet but big improvement in the dry but well fast

It's not white by any chance with 16" Irmscher Softstar's by any chance? I would love to track down my old Nova Valver. Reg was H***HBM.
