Hi All,
I'm trying to work out about the attesa system and the final drive ratio in the gearbox.
Now originally I thought that the final gear (4.3, 4.4) in the box needed to be matched to the final gear in the rear diff and this was causing all sorts of problems trying to find a gearbox with the correct FG
But after thinking long and hard about this, I figure this isn't true. In the gearbox, the pinion turns the crown which is conntected to the centre diff. This has the FG ratio (43, 44). The centre diff then turns the front diff and the reduction gear in the transfer which turns the rear diff. So the only ratio the rear diff needs to match is that of the reduction gear in the transfer, correct? :?
This means that I can get any FG ratio box that I can find and it should work without any problems.
Opinions please?
