Gearbox oil leaking

I have just found out that my gearbox is leaking oil[]What is involved in fixing this[?]Is it safe to drive as i want to go to the rolling road day and run the car[V]

elo mate sounds bad, where is it losing the oil from and have you jet washed (hot) all oil from under the engine so you can see where its comin from.. pm me mine is leeking under extrem load from the right drive shaft seel.. i dont think its that bad it just stinks coz its burning on the exaust.. a couple of houres of fairly easy work should sort it..

As long as it's not too bad,i wouldnt worry too much,i've got a slight leak on the near side driveshaft seal,been like that for about 12 months now :shock: Just keep an eye on the oil level in the box :!: Oil leaks tend to look worse than they really are most of the time as the oil spreads out a lot,so a little spill can make quite a large oil patch on your driveway :!:
