Gearbox help - costs....

I'm having my 5th gear replaced, the garage have had my car for over a month now - has anyone got any idea how much it will cost including labour ( as im getting a few quotes from a few places 1st b 4 i pay) and how long it should take to do?

Yeah, under warranty but I feel that they are going to be bumping the price up for the warranty job, I have cover for £1000 per claim, i'm expecting a bill of a few hundred quid anyway, but just getting worried as they have had it a over a month...

No one is giving me a quotation at all......Cant believe they wont give me a rough quote - powerstation or nissan

there may be damage to the box they say. I asked for a quote on a straight forward 5th gear replacement with no damage to the box, so labour, parts & VAT.

They still wont do it!!

As a garage is doing it i reckon minimum of about 10 hours labour + however much the parts of 5th gear are.

Thats probably about £500 just on labour :roll:

I think it's going to be a ridiculous amount, probably about 16 hours labour I'll bet they will charge
