I'm new to iR's and have just stripped my box to find out why drive has been lost to the lefdt front wheel.
The cause is lost teeth on the diff crownwheel. Is this common?
There is some damage to the mainshaft (one piece) pinion also. Can
u get a CW & P new at a sensible price?
Are there any other obvious weak points to look at while its stripped?
The gear synchro dogs have some wear.
Are there any bearings that MUST be changed before re-assembly? (ie known weak/undersized ones.
Does the Quaife kit come with a new CW&P, or do you re-use your original one?
Any help appreciated.
You guys didn't unstate the complexity of removing the lump. (8 hours!)
