in my engine most of the parts had no gaskets only sealent? but ive found listings for a se20det gasket kit, is this the right one? only gonna cost twenty odd quid

Reply, I'm guessing not as I bought a set for my re-build that said SR20DET but without opening it I could see there were bits different/missing. I've still got a full gasket set for an SR20DET that's never been used as I had to buy the correct one from Nissan.

Many of the parts like the sump only use gasket sealant anyway

how much was the proper kit? i had virtually no gaskets on my bottom end, just oodles of sealent

about £120 if i remember correctly and thats with a little trade discount

and most parts do just use sealer not gaskets with the set u also get a headgasket, valve guide sills, oil sills, o rings and rocker gasket they are handy but costs alot and if i was u only buy original parts unless there uprated ie hks head gasket.
