fuel tank

Can anyone help, is it normal for my fuel tank to either be pressurised or vacuumed as it makes a whoossh noise when i remove the cap?

I've had that sound on just about every injected car I've refullled at some point. So either it's normal or they've all got the same fault

Yeah thats normal mate. As the fuel is sucked out it creates a vacuum as it's trying to draw in air. As the tank is sealed the air cant be sucked in. Hence the whoosh of the pressure being equalised when u open the filler cap 8)

but wouldnt that affect fuel being drwn from the tank?

and does anybody have the bosch part number for an uprated fuel pump pls?

Nope doesnt affect the fuel at all. If you look under parts suppliers you'll see purple monster si selling Warlbro fuel pumps. I'd go for one of them over the bosch. Just my personal preferance tho
