Fuel Pressure?

Hi chaps, as ive fitted an uprated FSE pump i wandering what it takes the fuel pressure upto? as standard they have 2.94 bar pressure, but have been told 3 bar is enough for 1.3 bar. If they dont increase pressure then what is the point in having one ? just a bit confusing as to why i need one as anything over 3 bar sounds like a waste :roll: or would it be benificial t have an adjustable fuel pressure reg fitted and get it turned down a bit?(just i got an old power boost valve lying about off my old cav )

The idea of fitting an uprated fuel pump isn't to raise the fuel pressure (the stock fuel pressure regulator will make sure the fuel pressure stays the same) it's to increase the flow rate of the fuel pump. As Bruse Spence has proved, you don't need to change the fuel pressure at all, even at 2.0 bar.
