fuel line/pressure regulator query

You have 2 fuel lines coming from the tank into the engine bay one via the fuel filter into the engine and the other presumably a return hose. Shouldn't the one coming from the filter go into the fuel pressure regulator then into the fuel rail and unused fuel out the other end into the return hose? As mine is the other way round going into the fuel rail then passing through the regulator afterwards. In other words are the 2 hoses the wrong way round? And if so should it even work...?

The fuel comes through the filter and into the fuel rail, the "return" should go through the pressure reg* then to the pipe by the bulkhead.

*the fuel should go into the side of the reg and come out the end.

Spot on mate, And their is a 3rd hose coming from the tank into the charcoal canister which is the tank breather ;-) .
