Fuel gauge sender?

The tank in my R has been sat empty for quite a while, anyway after putting about 1/4 of a tanks worth of fuel in my gauge was only registering just over empty :?

Is the sender f o o k e d or is there anything that sticks on them? probably due to being empty for so long :lol:

its probably forgotten whats its supposed to do its been down at the bottom for so long...either that or its died of boredom waiting to float again :lol:

I swear i heard a little voice say "what the hell is this stuff" when i put some fuel in it :shock:
