What does it goto on the standard gauge? Plus what does your boost controller read?Paul20 said:at 1bar, the needle on the standard gauge should go off the scale. i thought it may be lag but then as i accelerate and come on boost, the needle is staying on the scale and not making full boost
I would check to see what your controller is reading in real time mate, then if it is reading low, make sure it hasnt been fiddled with, as it shouldn't change boost levels. Have you checked all the hoses are connected again properly? you might be experiencing boost leak or something:?Paul20 said:it goes to about 5 on the gauge (whatever the units are). my boost controller was originally set to 1bar by ian at hiteq and i darent fiddle with it. i know the controller gives boost reading in real time but i havent checked what it reads
No probz mate, failing that, i have no idea:doh:Paul20 said:yeh im assuming all the boost settings are the same as before i fitted the intercooler. i will have a check what the controller is reading tomorrow and see everythings tight. cheers mate
Haha more boost, you know it makes sense;-)Paul20 said:failing that, i will get it checked by hiteq whilst im there on saturday. maybe some real boost will sort the problem. ha
Yes the instructions say remove ALL plastic plugs from valve unit.Paul20 said:after checking that all pipes etc are tight and theres no leaks, i remembered that i had moved my boost solenoid into a slightly different position. i have included a piccy and as you can see, i had a plastic cap in the back of it. i removed it and now its boosting like it was and all is fine. does this seem right??
