Front shocks/springs

As far as I know the front shocks and springs on my car are completely standard but I think the front sits too low and I have problems with the exhaust scraping on speed bumps, even at rediculously slow speeds.

I was told by the MOT chap that both my front shocks are leaking, would this cause the car to sit a bit lower or is it just the springs that determine ride height ?

Cheers :D

Its the springs that control the ride height. If yours are definately standard and it scrapes they may be fooked - normal height 'R can drive over Everest and not notice :D Saying that, your exhaust isn't hanging low is it?
If your shocks are leaking they won't be able to control the springs and you'll have a bit of a bouncy ride.

hmmmm anyone got a picture of an 'R on standard shocks/springs ?

The exhaust itself is a 3" Mongoose with an HKS front pipe, the lowest hanging part is the flexi section which sits sort of in-line with the front wheels.....
