Front shocks/springs

As far as I know the front shocks and springs on my car are completely standard but I think the front sits too low and I have problems with the exhaust scraping on speed bumps, even at rediculously slow speeds.

I was told by the MOT chap that both my front shocks are leaking, would this cause the car to sit a bit lower or is it just the springs that determine ride height ?

Its the springs that control the ride height. If yours are definately standard and it scrapes they may be fooked - normal height 'R can drive over Everest and not notice Saying that, your exhaust isn't hanging low is it?
If your shocks are leaking they won't be able to control the springs and you'll have a bit of a bouncy ride.

hmmmm anyone got a picture of an 'R on standard shocks/springs ?

The exhaust itself is a 3" Mongoose with an HKS front pipe, the lowest hanging part is the flexi section which sits sort of in-line with the front wheels.....
