forge catch tank

just woundering do you have to take the black box (oil feededr thingy) off the block, as the fitting kit allows you to do so, or can you have both the catch tank and the black oil feeded box on?
Has anyone noticed any running problems with or without it on?

And the answer was?

At a guess - some leave the original oil separator on some take it off. Oh and some small mention that taking it off can lead to pressurisation of the after-market catch tank possible leading to oil vapour blow through?

The forge one is a catch tank and serarator not just a catch tank a catch tank will neen draining sooner or later I got rid of the nissan catch /separator tank a few years ago and have used a forge one since with no problems . You kneed the drain to the sump for the forge separator.
