Had a slight problem with this post, ie was removing a double post by chris and accidentally removed the whole thread instead. Luckily using the back button have got some of it back, but please feel free to comment again.

The first mod I got done was a front mount. I could have got a larger up rated top mount, but it would not be suitable if in the future I wanted to go for more horse power. FMIC have lag but they also have much larger free flowing pipes. The front mount intercoolers have larger surface areas and greater cooling potential. Note lag is not a problem when racing someone off the mark(if launched correctly). Lag is a problem when you get caught between gears at the wrong speed.

But keep in mind
The only way you will beat a 900cbr in an R with 320hp is if he the 900cbr rider is pissing in your pocket and lets you win. Is this the water injection you were thinking of champ .

Get real

Will post a bit more later but someone got 425bhp on a front mount. Also Autospeed done a test and found the GTi-R TMIC to have one of the best flows of all factory IC's, the R33 core also doing well which is what I also have.

Most ppl use Aquamist and it works better than an IC spray.

I havent looked into that as was trying to get the best out of the factory items rather than solving the problem by buying extras.

Nad, do you mean using standard bit- lifting the interwarmer up like you mentioned earlier and things like that?

Chirs, IMO its is better to solve existing problems first and make the best of what you have and then add to it later as the results will then be greater. Aquamist may drop inlet temps but if ur already getting a colder intake due to cold air box and less heatsoak the temp drop will e greater still.
