Fitting FMIC but retaining tow eye?

In the not too distant future we're going to be fitting a front mount intercooler to our car, but would like to retain the original towing eye, and we're wondering if anyone has managed this - or even tried & failed? The majority of pics I've come across (large coolers with end tanks at either side - not Norris style) seem to be missing the tow eye, and we're wondering if this has to be a casualty to fitting of the cooler? Would it be possible to mount the cooler back a bit, or at a slight angle to keep it in place?

Also, does the washer reservoir have to be mounted in the boot or have people successfully relocated it in the engine bay?

The f/m/i/c kit that I have (Garage SPL/Phoenix Power) keeps the towing eye and the washer bottle in place.

Do a search in the gallery for a picture of my engine bay.

Also, I’m in the middle of fabricating a kit for my R33 core. This will leave the towing eye on the car and also leave the washer bottle in its original place.
