I noticed the car was overboosting so have spent this morning trying to solve the problem, checked the vacuum hoses between plenum and actuator and they all seemed fine. I then bypassed the boost solenoid and my overboost problem dissapeared..
Now, it was my understanding that without the solenoid I should see peak boost of about 0.5bar or 7(ish) psi. However, my boost gauge reads around 10psi, dropping to 8(ish) as you make your way through the rev range.
Any ideas?
