Evo brake conversion

I have done this conversion and I know you have to space the disk 4mm from the hub. I was wondering why this is. Anybody know?

Thanks

To centre the disc with the caliper,or to move the disc away from the lower arm on full lock when the suspension is compressed.

Cheers Doc. One thing I find annoying about the conversion is by spacing the disk away from the hub you have to realign the disk everytime you take the wheels off. I think I may have a solution to it which I can share with the club once I know it works.

Asked this a while back, Was told it was to clear the bottom arm ball joint.

But then I have read a few times that the same clio discs are direct replacements on the 280 wilwood setups. No spacer needed. Been meaning to try a disc on the hub to find out as I would much rather have the caliper carriers machined to fit further inboard than space a disc out.
