engine upgrade question

what would you need to buy in order to rebuild a healthy (ish) engine with forged pistons? and what sort of processes would be involved? i know all cases are different due to the condition and wear. but as a rough guide so to speak

piston
oil pump gears
timing chain & guilds
Head and rod bolts
+ other bits i cant think of at the mo.


Best way is to take the engine out then you can get a good look at all the parts and it will need machining for the fordge piston.

You have to strip the engine and rebuild it basicly.

1.2mm steel head gasket
ARP con rod bolt set
Oil pump rotor set
Water pump
Head bolt set
Timing chain
Crank bearing set
Engine gasket kit
Knife edge / lighten / balance crank & engine assembly
Rebore cylinder block
Replace exhaust valve guides / re cut & lap seats
Oils , filters , anti freeze etc
Labour / fitting charge 28hs

I say becareful about cuting the valve seats.
Coz u will end up like me.....
Having a 0 clearance problems.
So plan in advance when it comes to doing cylinder head jobs.
