engine timing

well ive searched and i know the standard timing should be 20 degrees.

my mate has the head off and we are planning putting standard cams back in but my car has adjustable hks pulleys.

whats the best way to check the timing or set it up?

when you say timing do you mean valve timing , or ignition timing, have you put the timing chain back on ?? if you are running adjustable pulleys with standard cams, you would have to check the valve timing with dial test indicator, and a protractor on the crank , and check manual to see what the inlet and exhaust valve timing should be , would be easier just putting the standard cam pulleys on with the standard cams .

had a look at the workshop manual its a lot of work just to change cams...... ive just left it as it is ill contact a company to sort the ecu problems out.

the joys
