Basicly ive got no spark or no sign of the fuel pump working and ive got a constant 12volts at the injectors even when the ignition is off. I can manuely bypass the fuel pump relay to get the fuel pump to work but thats as far as ive got. Ive had two auto electricians look over it aswell and still nothing.please help im desperate its been off the road now over 13 months and i need it back asap cheers nis :(

irc the unchip loses it progarmmes once disconnected from battery.it would be better disconnect unchip and run on your standard ecu.

Re: re

im gonna go for an apex power fc later ne way so im just gonna retrace the wires and remove the unichip and wiring harness and sell it

you could also check the c.a.s this tell the ecu when to fire the plugs.once you,ve gone back to standard ecu you can do self test for faults. don,t know the unchip has this facility

Unichip should just unplug. This plug splices into the loom so all wires needed still go to the ECU and it should still work.

If it isn't the unichip......
Have you checked all the electrical plugs are connected properly. If need be, unplug them and put them back together to make sure. Engine earth strap in place?
Failing that it sounds ecu related like it might not be getting power maybe.

maybe you just connected the battery terminals the wrong way round? hence the constant 12v at the injectors :?

Are you getting 12V across the terminals at the injector, or across one terminal and the car body?

well guys ive checked everything suggested and still no luck :( it must be the ecu as fast guy mentioned. Does anyone know anywhere that tests ecu`s for pulsars :?: ps thanks guys for your help.

Try any local place that specialises in diagnostics/electrics
they might be able to help you.

Have you change anything else while the engine was out? I bet it's something obvious. :?

Right, ive had an autoelectrician look over my car and he still could not fix it! (yet) he was looking at it for 4 hours and charged me £120  anyway the car still does`nt work but he did find a couple of faults. the first thing was there is a fault to pins 38 and 47 on the ecu,the fault is that there is no 12v at the pins, so what he done was he put a fused 12v on the wires from the ecu and this gave a spark so we were finally getting somewhere.
the next problem was to get the fuel pump to work so what he did was put a seperate earth on the fuel pump pin(104) on the ecu which made it work. We turned the engine over a few times and still nothing and we also found a constant 12v at the injectors even with the ignition off! if u unplug the plug to the resistors found ontop of the passenger side wing in the engine bay covered by a crome plate theres 5 wires 4 goto the injectors and the other one (white cable) feeds the injectors 12v. so guys im stuck again has anyone got an idea of what to try next? could it be a faulty ecu??????? please help im going mad :x
