engine oil...which viscosity??

hi, anyone using 10w40 sysnthetic oil in your r?
i have always used 10w60 oil in my car, but i have been suggested to fit a 10w40 royal purple racing 41 oil....
will it be a good idea on a modded gti-r?

from wot I hav read 10w50 is the best oil for modded R's

Yeah, Silkonlene Pro S 10w50 or Castrol RS 10w60
