Ok, if you had an engine........in this case a 1.8T Golf engine.
You want to make the engine run in a different car.......in this case a Mk1 Golf.
The ECU for a Mk4 Golf has an Immobiliser which make's it expensive to get running, so you used an modified loom off another car, say a Bosch Motronic system out from a Vauxhall or Peugeot as both sytems use a MAP sensor.
I cant see why this cant be done, as at the end of the day. All you need is a MAP or Airflow sensor, 4 injectors and a lamda sensor. (In theory)
Oh, and the Bosch Motronic systems have a limp home mode which can be mapped.Not R related,moved to tuning-skiddusmarkus
