engine developed a tappy noise!

had my pulsar for a couple of months now,was running nice and smooth when i got it - now after some real good country lane trashes and lots of enjoyment, the engine sounds rough and tappy (cant think of better word to describe)
any idears - its sounds very much like its from the head?
any help much appreiciated

first things first check the oil as in how much and how old these car need lots of oil changes try castrol rs 10w60 before u start getting in to expensive bits

Yeah time to change the oil, that always helps on mine.
