engine bay dress up

hi guys and gurls just brought i gtir and the the engine looks well a little boring lol just wanted to no if any body had any old or spear bits they dont use like chrome bits bobs. also was after some blue hoses.

mate i changed all mine to blue, i wish i never.

it looks to chav tastic, just get new cheap black hose.

It'll just look like a normal engine bay if the hoses are in black.

Best bet is to give the engine bay a good clean and remove as much dirt as possible. It'll look much more presentable and won't look like a "bling bling train wreck".

If you want to "tart it up" give the engine cover a re-spray (if its needs it), clean up/remove the rust from the top-mount intercooler cover (if you have one) and maybe look at restoring the exhaust shield as they normally get quite corroded and dilapidated.

These things are much better options in my opinion. :thumb:

Dont go chrome or polished unless your in touch with your feminine side or you like to polish alot as none clean shiny stuff looks 10x worse than a dirty stock engine bay in my eyes.

I have a polished rocker cover but since water and salt has got on it it looks pretty scanky and tbh I cant be arse to spend hours getting it back :lol:

just clean it up a bit and maybe replace the hoses with some new ones or if they clean up ok just leave em,

I like chrome/polished engine bays personally, aslong as its not that stick on crap and tacky covers, thing is you have to do it all otherwise the nice clean bits make the rest look twice as bad.

Bit of elbow grease here and there, your money is much better spent elsewhere so don't buy engine dress up.

yer does look real nice, the plenum and the rocker cover polished and the intercooler piping if a front mount do look realy nice, but over dressing with bits of ebay tin and stuff seems a bit ott
