Oh wow, watching that brought back some memories! Especially that bloody Y-bracket under the intake. Lost plenty of knuckle skin over the years taking those off! Will watch with interest - thanks for sharing dude.

Looks to me a bit of a piss take, why would you bother with intake when you drop the engine? Won't even get in to the gearbox comments....

Watched it. It was odd how she kept saying it’s the only GTiR in the US. I’m sure Sailor on here is from the US, which would make it 2.

Very true, i'm still driving mine around all the time. There are a handful of them floating on Facebook market place here in the states (which I have saved at all times just incase I want another XD) Here are the links if anyone in the USA is looking for one as a project

Also, I know for certain two individuals on the FB group that have VET swapped or are in the process of swapping their GTiR

Lmao@ this, I said pretty much the same thing Andy. I was wondering how long it’d take for some tosser to say it. Turns out it was a tossette.

I like the part where man thinks he’ll have engine out in under 2 hours. I thought “ you’re extracting the Michael matey” I couldn’t tell if he was or not but either way, good cocking luck with that.

So this Y bracket strikes again! Having never taken a motor out of one of these - is there now way of getting it out with the intake on?

looks a ball of a job!

You just drop the whole engine and box out of the bottom as a complete unit mate, I did mine on several occasions, I did it with a trolly jack and a block and tackle to lift the car up high enough to pull the engine and box out from under the car takes about two hours, In reverse you just stick the engine and box on a little trolly wheel it back under the car,, drop the car down over it and use the block and tackle or engine crane to lift the whole lot back up again.
