Which to go for? The Mechanical is slightly less dosh..... are they as accurate as each other?

Any ideas?

Ask yourself this question
Do I want my cars interior etc all full of oil if the pipe to the mechanical gauge should fail for some reason :?:

Fair point! I didn't realise the oil was carried all he way to the gauge - I presumed they'd use some kind of plunger affair as the sensor and use that to shift air in the pipework.....

Answers that one then......

I'd go for a mechanical one again as (IMO) I think they'd be more reliable than electrical ones. Just look how many standard electrical sender units fail. I guess it's possible the tube to the gauge could split, but I never had a problem with my last one (racetech).
