EL Dial help needed!!!!

Hi guys,

While fitting my EL dials the coolant temp needle came off in my hand as soon as I touched it. Therefore I didn't get a chance to see where it settled once I'd lifted it over the stop. Where did your needles rest? I guessed when refitting but it's not working. Will they rest in the same place for all cars? See link for details.

not much help here Dunc
when i fitted mine the same happened but the actual pin, the needle was on came up from it's socket also & hasnt worked since :?
i hope i havent knackered it

i gather they do rest at the same place for all our cars though from what i have read
