fitted my hks dump vavle the otha day but when it releases pressure it sounds like a roller bearing turbo i hav,but ive alwayz thought my turbo woz standard,any ideas wot it is?or could i hav a roller bearin?
You could have a roller bearing turbo but either way that doesn't have a great deal of effect on the noise of the turbo. Things like wastegates and dump valves do that. From past threads, 9 times out of 10 when people think their turbo is special and post, it turns out to be bog standard.
I know some of the dump valves are adujustable and if the air isn't being dumped it could be forced back over the blades to give a chirup rather than a tsssh.
