DUMP PIPE

what is a dump pipe ?? i keep seeing it on big bhp Rs and 200sx :roll:
i sort of think it goes on from the turbo to the front pipe ?? is that right ?

instead of being one big pipe 2.5" 3" pipe etc i think it splits into 2 ? and they are a smaller bore ? does anyone know what im on about lol

what is a dump pipe :?:

it`s from the remote wastegate.it allows you to get rid of the hot exhaust gases when the gate opens.it`s usually directed down towards the road but can be connected into the exhaust

turbo elbow/dump pipe with seperator for internal wastegated turbos, and just for sirnix, no the 200sx will not fit

it says there is bhp to be made from this ?? why is that ? would a bigger bore one not be better ?

it apparently reduces turbulence between the exhaust and waste gate gas.

I personally have a 3" single elbow on mine as the chap who made it said they had problems on subarus with twin pipes,

ashills made up his own twin dump and reckons his turbo spools quicker than it did with the standard piece of rusty cr@p..
