drinking the coolent

HI

I havent had this car very log and is in need of some work ..

Its using /driniking coolant liquid


What could this be the car has had a recent engine rebuild well 1546 miles ago

depends on consumption, could be air lock and as you are using it the air is bleeding out so consuming water until it stops doing it, you are getting mayonaise oil as the head gasket is gone, heater matrix is weeping, radiator is leaking, hoses split, the list is endless really Any funny smells of coolant in the cabin, drips on the floor........the more info you post the more you will get back ;-)

maybe its depresed and it likes to drink anti freeze

Chances are one of the hoses is leaking. There's about 7 on the rear of the engine and another 4 or so round the side and front. It it isn't one of those, then maybe the water pump or possibly your radiator.

yer I did not notice the back hoses leaking until the pipe went properly as it was burning off on the engine
