direction of conrods

hi may be one for the people who have rebuilt their own engines which way round do the rods face ive forgotten on one side there is an oil squirter which side does this face the same side as the piston squirters or the other

and also the numbers on the caps and rods i take it they match up i.e 4 and 4 on bothe same side:roll:

The hole in the rod faces rearwards.

The numbers should match and be on the same side .

yep,

the oil hole on the standard rod is there to put extra oil onto the side of the bore that the piston loads up on as it descends the bore
