I just had my R plugged in to a diagnostic machine and it came back with a detonation sensor fault! I'm bot really too clued up on exactly what this sensor does and what happens when it goes wrong although some times the car does feel like its holding back even though its boosting up fine, has anyone else has similar issues on here?

The det sensor is a pretty common fault; it's probably 20 years old, just put a new one in and move on.
- The detonation sensor "listens" to the engine for knock. When it senses some, the ECU retards the ignition to stop it. Obviously if the sensor is faulty the ECU will never let the igniton advance, and you loose power; the car will feel like it's holding back.
