Damn dials!

After replacing my original dials with a set of Lockwoods and re-seating the needles, they no longer read correct on oil temp, pressure, and rev counter. When the key is turned to prime they all turn slightly clockwise, as in engine off but needle at 1000rpm lol. Before i play with them again, is this because the needles need to be set further anticlockwise than the stoppers? So that when the key is turned to prime they turn clockwise to exactly where the stoppers are (Obviously they wont move when the stoppers are put back)
Hope this makes sense lol, all help appreciated

hahaha! join the club of many. give micra ed a pm i think he can recalibrate them or at least may tell you how to do it. best to leave gauges well alone, they are never right when fitted again.

Lol, problem solved i think! Just been out and had another go, this time i started the car, waited till she had warmed up, and set the needles where i think they should be! So as long as the car wasnt overheating and the oil pressure was as it should be its all good! :whoo:
