crank raer main oil seal

just wondering if the lip on my real oil seal is facing the right way, i tried sliding it over a few times but the lip always went outward as i pushed it over the crank, if its wrong ill just wip it off and try again.

the lip needs to be going the other way, put it on like that and oil will be p1ssing out

yeh i thought as much i was tired after doing all the other stuff all day and i had to get it on quick because the sealant was drying, i knew the answer just wanted to double check before i take it back off. is there a tip to getting it on i must of tried three times and it went outwards each time

:doh: took the housing off again and turns out its designed like that heres a pic of the front crank seal you can see the lip on that one too. ah well better to be safe than sorry
