Crank angle sensor

Hey guys,

My CEL is on and after shorting the consult port pins i get a repeatedly code 11.

I checked the plug from the CAS and all 4 pins are fine (as per manual page EF & EC 564). 2 pins going to ECU, one to ground and the other +12v feed. I removed the CAS and when i rotate it manually the standard coil gives a spark, so i am assuming the CAS is fine, the ECU is getting the signal which in return sending a signal to coil to spark.

The car is a non mover as we speak since i still need to sort the fuel pump.

Could i have another faulty sensor which is effecting the CAS and/or giving a code 11 ?

i had a problem with mine where the wires had broken to the sensor and it only showed when the car was running and i waggled them about then it would cut out

i started the engine today and while idling the CEL switched off. when i switch engine OFF, it comes back ON.
