Coilovers protection

I got tein super streets in new condition on and when i was washing the car today i noticed the chromed thread part has just started to rust a tiny bit. I use the car everyday. The problem is i want them to stay like new as they have for the last 6 months+ so heres the question.

Is there a coating i can put on or wrapping that would keep the salt away?

Some of will laugh at this but the car is mint and i want to keep it like that.

I would get some spray grease and apply it regulary, dont use normal grease as the dirt will stick to it.

Nothing wrong in wanting to keep the car mint ,I did have duck tape on mine /untill i lost interest ,just wd40 now !

leda coilovers actually have a rubber boot fitted right over the springs so they are sealed to the elements.
good idea really!

clean it to death its the only way !!! but as above
silicone spray,spray grease,clear paint lacquer on the chrome area will keep it looking new and protect it for a long time..

KW do a sleve systerm that you can buy that protects the coilover from durt.
