Click click click...

There is a "problem" with my coilovers.

Basically when I'm steering the car, the car is clicking from the front, I ignored it at first as I didn't know what the noise was, now I'm a bit worried...I left my GF drive the car out of the garage, she was reversing it, and I had the bonnet open, i then heard the clicks and the middle bolt of the coilovers seems to be turning when the car is steering? Hence making the clicking noise, but this noise is the same as if you adjust the dampening.

I'm a bit worried whats going on here?

Any ideas? It seems to occur on the drivers side more than the O/S.

The coilovers were fitted and setup by HiTec.

Cheers

The middle bolt has to turn as the damper turns as your steering is the ball joint ok. Also are the track rod ends been put on tight.

Does it only do it when turning? It could be a CV joint if so.
If it's all the time it could be something caught in the wheel/brake area.

Well the CV boot has split so that had been replaced...

I've checked the wheels etc, everything seems fine.

The clicking happens if the engine is off for example and i turn the steering wheel..

Grrr...

WHY!!

sounds like the cv joint might have been damaged when the boot was split
