is this too close, jus put on my shinny new hi-specs and 16" oz wheels but i ant to sure on the clearance of the 2, how much should i have, i only got about 1 mm between the inside of the rim and the caliper

Just don't corner too hard

I had about that on my STi Scoob and had no probs, I would have thought it would be ok. If you hear a scraping noise when you're cornering, get the grinder out :lol:

i wonder is it possiable to get the inside of the wheel bored out?

I've got some Brembos behind my 16" Speedlines and I've also got 1mm clearance :-D

Never had a problem since they were installed about 9 months ago 8), so you should be fine.
