Choke/idle problem

My car idles a bit low when its cold then really high when its hot..
Any ideas????
Would a bad blow in the front pipe of my exhaust have amything to do with it?

The bad blow will affect things, general running included as well as very hot gases leaking out :? . I'd get it sorted and see if things improve before doing anything else.
