You would normally fit it as an alternative to an intercooler. I take it that it's a water to air cooler ? If so, I would advise you to steer clear. It would me more complicated than it's worth. You need to think about a coolant tank, pump, lines, where to put all this. Then theres the weight of all the bit's you would need etc... It would be cheaper and less time consuming to go for a Forge front mount or similar.

Just my 2 p's worth

You can also fit them inline with an intercooler too
They aren't that complicated, just a little more involved than fitting a front mount.
Having fitted the forge front mount to my car and a charge cooler to my last car, the chargecooler went on alot easier :) but I bet on the Gtir, it's an engine out job to fit it. :p :p

Charge coolers work a lot better than intercoolers, they say their heavier with all the water, i agree but not much, your probably talking 10kg MAX, I bet the ice in some cars is heavier than this.

If its fast road use stick to the intercooler, if its track chargecooler
