Car running lean??

Spark Plug question... Car running lean??

Im in the middle of servicing my R, and i noticed when removing the spark plugs, the ends (spark end) of the plugs were in good condition appart from them being a white colour instead of the silver metal finish.
Could this mean the car is running lean? If so how could i sort it out?

possibly! if there really white it is also a sign of an engine running to hot, so could be either really, need to see a photo of the plugs!
