cam tensioner

hi just fitted a new set of cams, with the engine in place , have to reset the cam chain tensioner, is there an easy way to do this without removing the tensioner from the head ? jim. ;-)

You'll need to remove the tensioner.

It has a ratchet to stop it moving back.

As long as you don't move the crank or cams when the tensioner is out you'll be fine.
