cam cover respray queries

hi y`all,

i`m gonna be painting my cam cover soon and i need to know what temperature the paint has got to be rated to,

i`ve had various different answers to this question from my normal paint suppliers but i want to check it out before i do it so it don`t start flaking off as soon as the engine warms up.

mine was done in spray from halfords..no problem what so ever

maybe next time you go for a drive, check after with a thermometer.

or would that give a false reading?
