Boosting the Turbo up

Is there a quick way of winding the turbo up or getting it to kick in a little sooner. I remember on my Rover GSI turbo and I could just wind it up a little and it gave great performance increases.

I guess you are talking about a bleed valve. Yes it's possible, have a search on here for the pros and cons of doing this.

Do you mean you could adjust the preload on the actuator?A bleed valve will just increase the boost being run,not affect spoolup.A Dawes device does both.
