Boost Controllers and Unichips

What exactly do boost controllers do? I know they allow you to adjust the boost, but how is this achieved?

Similarly, how do Unichips work?

Electronic boost controllers basically con the wastegate actuator into thinking there is less pressure in the system than there actually is thus keepin it shut for longer hence more boost :twisted: I believe thats how it works anyway :?

Unichips.. Even tho I have one im guessin as to how they do what they do.. I guess the take the signals coming to the ECU, change them, thus making the ECU up the fueling, advance the timing etc... EIther that or Magic
