block cleaning

i have just got my block back from the machine shop and was just wondering what is the best way to clean it so its free of all the metal shards on the faces and in the gallerys? and what with?

also the best way to keep the bores free from water when i rinse it, then i will clean them with carb cleaner and a white rag last?

wash your block with parafin

so just wash it with parafin? will i not need to wash the parafin off with water? and i would of thought id need to pressure wash the oil and water galleries out to get rid of all the shards??

just run a hose though the water galleries to get rid of the crap then just wash the rest in parafin you souldn't need to wash it with water after just wipe it down
